2- Everyday Corfu (Kerkira) trip

A visit to Corfu town is definitely worth it. From Igoumanitsa on the north-west side of Greece sail daily several ferries and boats to Corfu and back. The drive from Villa Sophia Igoumanitsa to go through Preveza and the west coast to the north and takes about 2 hours. The roads along the entire route are fine.

The crossing by boat takes about 1.5 hours. The cost of the crossing may reasonably vary and depend on the shipowner, the quality of the boat, the time and duration of the voyage. 1 car with four occupants will cost between € 65 and € 130.

When approaching Corfu get from the water a magnificent picture of Corfu town and chances are that there is a gradual or more (sometimes 4) looming huge cruise ships that lie at the quay.

Upon arrival at Corfu leave you left the port area and located the edge of the old town about 2 km. The buildings combined with the characteristic narrow streets are a great backdrop from an old Italian film. It is a jumble and concatenation of souvenir shops, cafes, taverns, fashion, shoe, bag, perfume, etc.- matters. 2-Day Trip to Kefalonia (Cephalonia)

2-Day Trip Megálo and Mikro Papingo

Large and Small Papingo words lie to the west of this area. These two villages are beautifully situated, near the 2437 meter high Astraka mountains. The tops of these mountains are called the Towers of Papingo, which give a unique grandeur of the landscape. From both villages to make beautiful walks into the refuge to the pass of the Ástrakas (altitude 1950 m, 3 hours) and to the Dragon lake (elevation 2100 m, 5 hours). The distance between the two villages, through an ancient path, is approximately 45 minutes.

2-Day Trip Áno Pediná

In the charming village of Ano Pedina is the Evangelistra monastery still inhabited by four nuns. If you are visiting this monastery, the non-speaking English will you like and tell a lot about the life and history of the monastery. In Ano Pedina is a school where you can receive training in the traditional weaving and the manufacture of carpets.

From this village beautiful hiking trails lead you in about an hour walk to the villages Monodendri and Elafotopos.

In Ano Pedina are three taverns and a kafeníon, where a meal can be used in peace or enjoy a drink.

From the church, you take a walk through the asphalt road out of the village. At a large fir tree to the right of the asphalt road, you take the left path. This seems like a bad path, but this is short-lived. Follow the red dots and piles of stones. You have to cross a kind of pasture right, then the path will pass into a mule track (stone path), where you descend into a beautiful arch bridge. Walk across the arched bridge and then turn right, to the asphalt road. The asphalt track and left after a few minutes to get to the village of Kipi. The walk takes about ½ hour but is very fun to do. You can return via the asphalt road (this is in terms of distance slightly longer) to Koukouli. Here you will find the famous three-arched bridge crossing. But these same walk back is of course also possible.

This walk is divided into pieces, so you can start from three different points:

* Village Koukouli

* Plate “Scala Vradeto” or

* Village Vradet

Seen from the church at Koukouli you get a split. Go right through the asphalt road out of the village, towards ao Kipi, left turn through a dirt road towards Kapesovo. Follow this dirt road until you come out at an asphalt road, here you go right. The route now goes on the asphalt road until you see the sign “Scala Vradeto”. Turn left on a path, which first goes down and then a left turn through a mule track up the mountain towards Vradeto. The climb takes about 1 hour. The path comes out again on an asphalt road, which links you follow so that you are in the village Vradeto. From here you can walk through to Beloi.
